Anubias nana ” Bonsai”
Anubias nana ‘Bonsai’ is one of the smallest and most compact cultivars of the Anubias family, even smaller than the standard ‘Nana’. It is the perfect foreground detail plant, especially for “micro-scapes” where maintaining a sense of tiny, realistic scale is essential. As an epiphyte, it should be wedged into hardscape or glued to wood/rocks; burying the rhizome in substrate will lead to the plant’s demise. It is a “slow-and-steady” grower that thrives in low light, making it incredibly easy to maintain without the need for CO2 or intensive pruning. Its thick, teardrop-shaped leaves are very tough, making it virtually “fish-proof” against even the most curious or herbivorous tank mates.
